  • New Pearl Grace White Colour Added
  • First Suzuki Scooter in India With EASS and Silent Starter
  • 124cc Engine With CVT and E20 Fuel Support
  • Bluetooth Instrument Cluster With Navigation and WhatsApp Alerts

Suzuki Motorcycle India has updated the Suzuki Burgman Street EX with a new colour option. The scooter now gets a Pearl Grace White shade, bringing the total colour count to three options. The updated Suzuki  Burgman Street EX price is at ₹1,07,902 (ex-showroom) and is available at all Suzuki Motorcycle India dealerships across the country.

The update to the Burgman Street EX is a new colour Pearl Grace White. This colour joins the existing two options:

  • Pearl Grace White — new addition
  • Metallic Royal Bronze — existing colour
  • Metallic Matte Black No. 2 — existing colour

The Pearl Grace White is a clean white shade with a pearl finish  a colour that has broad appeal and was previously not available on the EX variant. The addition of white gives the Burgman Street EX a more complete colour lineup, as white is one of the most popular scooter colours in India.

There are no mechanical or feature changes with this update. The engine, specifications, and features are all carried over from the previous version.

The Burgman Street EX has a maxi-scooter design  meaning it is larger and more imposing than a typical 125cc scooter. The front fascia has a large overhang with a centre-bottom mounted LED headlight paired with integrated LED position lights. A small fly-screen windshield sits above the headlight area, giving the scooter an aerodynamic look and reducing wind turbulence for the rider at higher speeds.

The Burgman Street EX is powered by an all-aluminium 124cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with SOHC and 2 valves. The engine produces 8.6 PS of maximum power at 6,500 rpm and 10 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Power is delivered through a CVT Continuously Variable Transmission which means there is no manual shifting. The CVT makes the scooter easy to ride in stop-and-go traffic and on long city commutes.

The engine uses Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) technology Suzuki’s fuel efficiency and performance engineering concept that aims to deliver good mileage without sacrificing smooth acceleration. This is the same engine technology used across Suzuki’s updated scooter lineup including the Access 125.

The engine is E20 fuel compliant  meaning it can run on petrol with up to 20 percent ethanol content. This is a standard requirement for all new two-wheelers in India under current emission regulations.

The top speed of the Burgman Street EX is approximately 95 kmph which is competitive for a 125cc scooter and adequate for both city commuting and shorter highway stretches between cities.

One of the key features of the EX variant that separates it from the standard Burgman Street is the EASS  Engine Auto Stop-Start System. The Burgman Street 125EX is the first Suzuki motorcycle or scooter in India to adopt this system.

The ARAI-certified mileage for the Suzuki Burgman Street EX is 48 kmpl. Real-world user reports show fuel efficiency between 46 and 58 kmpl depending on riding conditions city-only riding, highway riding, or a mix of both. In a road test published by BikeWale, the Burgman Street EX achieved 58.57 kmpl in mixed city and highway conditions  one of the better real-world mileage figures in the 125cc scooter segment.

The fuel tank capacity is 5.5 litres, which gives the Burgman Street EX a riding range of approximately 250 to 320 km on a full tank depending on riding conditions.

The Burgman Street EX gets a Bluetooth-enabled multi-function digital LCD instrument cluster with Suzuki Ride Connect functionality. This connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth and displays:

  • Turn-by-turn navigation directions on the cluster
  • Missed call alerts and Caller ID
  • Call, SMS, and WhatsApp alerts
  • Over-speed warning
  • ETA updates for navigation
  • Phone battery level display

This connected functionality makes the Burgman Street EX one of the more technology-equipped scooters in the 125cc segment. Riders can keep their phone in their pocket and still see navigation directions and notification alerts on the instrument cluster.

The Burgman Street EX has full LED lighting LED headlights with integrated LED position lights at the front, and LED tail lights at the rear. LED lighting provides better visibility at night compared to conventional halogen bulbs and also improves the scooter’s road presence.

A DC charging socket is available in the glove box compartment, allowing riders to charge their phone while riding. This is a practical feature for daily commuters.

A bottle holder is built into the front apron area  a useful storage feature for riders who carry water bottles or small items during commutes.

The aluminium footrests are an EX-specific feature that adds a premium feel to the riding position. They also reduce weight compared to plastic footrests.

The Burgman Street EX has a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. A Combined Braking System (CBS) is standard this means pressing the left brake lever applies braking force to both the front and rear wheels simultaneously, helping maintain balance during emergency braking. CBS is mandatory on all new scooters in India.

The Suzuki Burgman Street EX measures 1,880mm in length, 715mm in width, and 1,140mm in height. Ground clearance is 160mm  adequate for most city roads and speed breakers. The scooter weighs 110 kg  which is manageable for most riders at parking and low-speed manoeuvring despite the maxi-scooter size. The seat height is 780mm, which is accessible for most average-height Indian riders.

The rear wheel size is 12-inch with a 100/80-12 tyre profile larger than standard 10-inch scooter wheels. This larger rear wheel improves the scooter’s visual stance and gives it better city riding efficiency when passing through gaps in traffic.
