TVS Jupiter CNG Scooter: Specifications, Mileage, Engine Specs, Performance and Expected Launch
- CNG Tank Capacity : The TVS Jupiter CNG features a 1.4 kg CNG tank, neatly positioned under the seat. However, this means the traditional under-seat boot space has been sacrificed for the fuel tank.
- Petrol Tank : It comes with a 2-litre petrol tank located in the floorboard area. This dual fuel configuration (CNG + Petrol) lets riders seamlessly switch between fuel types using a dedicated switch on the handlebar.
- Bi-Fuel System :This CNG scooter’s unique selling point is the bi-fuel setup, allowing operation both on CNG and standard petrol. Such flexibility significantly reduces running costs and offers a higher operating range on a single fill.
- Mileage :TVS claims an impressive mileage of around 84 km per kg of CNG. With current CNG prices, the running cost is estimated to be an incredibly low ₹0.90 per km much lower than regular petrol scooters.

- Power and Torque :The CNG scooter produces around 7.1 bhp at 6,000 rpm and a torque of 9.4 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
- Top Speed :The top speed is rated at approximately 80 kmph suitable for city commutes while balancing fuel efficiency.
- Expected Launch : The market launch is expected by 2026, following minimal refinements after the showcase. This will make TVS the first company to bring a CNG scooter to Indian roads.
