India’s first CNG scooter is set to launch very soon, and it promises to be a game changer in the Indian two wheeler market. - Combined Range :The total range with both CNG and petrol tanks filled is estimated at 226 km, catering well to daily urban commuters.
- Engine Capacity :The Jupiter CNG Scooter is powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine essentially the same one that runs the Jupiter 125 petrol version.
- Power and Torque :The CNG scooter produces around 7.1 bhp at 6,000 rpm and a torque of 9.4 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
- Top Speed :The top speed is rated at approximately 80 kmph suitable for city commutes while balancing fuel efficiency.
- Expected Launch : The market launch is expected by 2026, following minimal refinements after the showcase. This will make TVS the first company to bring a CNG scooter to Indian roads.
