Hyundai is getting ready to bring 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift and the 2026 Hyundai Exter facelift as both cars have been spotted testing on Indian roads.
What Is Changing in the 2026 Hyundai Verna Facelift?
The current Verna launched in India in 2023 and received criticism from some buyers for its front-end design. Hyundai is addressing that with the facelift.
Exterior: The front end is getting a redesigned look, taking some inspiration from the Hyundai Sonata sold internationally. The headlight design may change, with turn signals possibly combined with the headlights. A new bumper with bold diagonal elements is also expected. At the rear, a new diffuser with a silver insert has been spotted. The connected LED DRL strip and tail-light strip will continue.
Interior: This is where the biggest change is coming. The current Verna has dual 10.25-inch screens. The facelift is expected to upgrade this to dual 12.3-inch curved screens, similar to the setup found in the new Hyundai Venue. A new three-spoke steering wheel with Hyundai’s H in Morse Code design (four dots) is also confirmed from spy shots. The all-black interior with red accents for the turbo variant will continue.

Features: Connected car technology, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and ADAS Level 2 features are expected to carry over, with possible refinements.
Engine: No mechanical changes are expected. The Verna facelift will continue with the same two petrol engine options which includes1.5 ltr NA petrol engine with 115 hp and 1.5 ltr turbo petrol engine with 160 hp. There is also a possibility of a hybrid powertrain being added, as Hyundai has confirmed plans for 8 hybrid models in India by 2030.
Expected Launch: First half of 2026, possibly around March to June 2026.
Expected Price: ₹12 lakh to ₹18 lakh (ex-showroom).

What Is Changing in the 2026 Hyundai Exter Facelift?
The Exter was launched in 2023 and quickly became a popular choice in the micro-SUV segment. The facelift is not a full redesign — it is more of a mid-cycle refresh that adds features and updates the look.
Exterior: The boxy, upright body shape of the Exter will stay the same. Changes are expected at the front grille, front bumper, and rear bumper. The H-shaped LED DRL signature and split projector headlights will continue. New alloy wheel designs have been spotted on some test mules. A revised tailgate and updated taillights are also expected.
Interior: The facelift is likely to bring a larger infotainment touchscreen, an updated digital instrument cluster, new upholstery options, and improved connected car features. Comfort additions like ventilated front seats, rear sunshades, and USB Type-C charging ports may also be included.
Engine: Mechanically, the Exter facelift will remain the same as the current model. The 1.2-litre petrol engine which produce 83 hp and 113.8 nm torque and the CNG option will both continue.
Expected Launch: Around March 2026, as per multiple reports and spy shot timelines.
Expected Price: The current Exter is priced from ₹5.64 lakh to ₹8.85 lakh. A small price increase is expected with the facelift.
