Yamaha has added a new colour to the Yamaha XSR155 lineup in India. The new shade is called Metallic Black, and it is now available at a price of ₹1,58,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Along with this new colour, Yamaha has also revised the prices of all the other existing colour options.
The XSR155 was first launched in India in November 2025 with four colour options — Metallic Blue, Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, and Greyish Green Metallic. At the time of launch, all four colours were priced the same at ₹1,49,990 (ex-showroom).
After the bike was launched, a lot of customers asked Yamaha for a black colour option. Responding to that demand, Yamaha introduced the Metallic Black variant in March 2026.
Yamaha Motor India Group Chairman Hajime Aota said that when customers asked for a black variant, the company acted quickly. He said the Metallic Black is not just about a new colour — it is about offering riders something that matches their need for individuality and style.
What Is Special About the Metallic Black Variant?
The Metallic Black gets an all-black finish across the body, the fuel tank, and the overall design. The standout feature of this variant is the golden USD (upside-down) front forks, which create a nice visual contrast against the black body.
Among all five colour options of the XSR155, the Metallic Black is the only variant with gold-coloured front forks (the Metallic Blue also gets gold forks). This is what makes the Metallic Black look different from the rest. The gold forks, combined with the black body and the retro tank design with Yamaha branding, give the bike a clean, premium look without going over the top.

The XSR155 is a modern retro sport bike based on Yamaha’s 155cc platform — the same platform used in the R15 and MT-15. It uses a Deltabox frame, USD front forks, an aluminium swingarm, and a slipper clutch.
The design takes inspiration from classic Yamaha motorcycles like the RX100 and RD350. The round LED headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and traditional LCD display are all part of this retro look. At the same time, features like dual-channel ABS, traction control, fuel injection, and VVA technology keep it modern.
The bike weighs only 137 kg, which makes it easy to handle in city traffic. The 810mm seat height is on the taller side, but the narrow frame helps shorter riders manage it better. Ground clearance is 170mm, which is enough for everyday road conditions in India.
For accessories, Yamaha offers two kits — a Scrambler kit and a Café Racer kit — for riders who want to personalise the look of their XSR155.
The Yamaha XSR155 Metallic Black is now available at authorized Yamaha dealerships across India. You can also check prices, colours, and book the bike through the Yamaha India official website or the Yamaha e-shop.
