The next-generation Tata Sierra 2025 has officially launched, marking the return of one of India’s iconic SUVs.
The Tata Sierra 2025 comes in multiple versions, including internal combustion engine (ICE) variants with petrol and diesel options, as well as a fully electric version called the Tata Sierra EV, showcasing Tata Motors’ commitment to electrification alongside traditional powertrains.
The Tata Sierra 2025 is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine delivering 160 PS @5000 rpm of power and 255 Nm @1750-4000 rpm of torque. This engine is paired with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The diesel variant uses a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine producing 118 PS @ 4000 rpm and 260 Nm @ 1500-2750 rpm torque. Shortly after the ICE models, Tata plans to launch the Sierra EV on its Acti.EV platform, which is expected to offer multiple battery options and an estimated range of 450-550 km on a single charge.

The Tata Sierra 2025 price in India is priced ₹11.49 lakh onwards making it competitive in the compact SUV segment. The Tata Sierra EV, expected later, is anticipated to be priced around ₹15 lakh onwards depending on battery pack configurations.
