Skoda Elroq Electric SUV Launching in India in 2026 — Price, Battery Options, Range, and Full Specs

Skoda is preparing to launch the Skoda Elroq Electric SUV in India in 2026. The Elroq was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January 2025 giving Indian buyers their first official look at the car.

Skoda India has not yet confirmed a final launch date or official price, but experts point to a launch window between March and June 2026, with an expected starting price of around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Skoda Elroq is a compact electric SUV that measures 4,488mm in length, 1,884mm in width, and 1,625mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,765mm. It is slightly larger than the Skoda Kushaq and positions itself in the mid-size electric SUV segment. It seats five people and has a boot capacity of 470 litres, which expands to 1,580 litres with the rear seats folded flat. There is also a small front storage area called a frunk of 15 litres on some variants.

The Skoda Elroq is available globally with three battery pack options. Each battery option is paired with a different power output and a different range.

The Elroq 50 uses a 52 kWh battery and produces 170 PS and 310 Nm of torque. It has a claimed WLTP range of 370 km on a full charge. This is the entry-level variant.

The Elroq 60 uses a 59 kWh battery and produces 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque. It offers a claimed WLTP range of 418 km on a full charge.

The Elroq 85 uses a larger 77 kWh battery and produces 286 PS and 545 Nm of torque. It offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 579 km on a full charge. An AWD variant called the Elroq 85x is also available globally, with dual motors producing 282 bhp and a 0 to 100 kmph time of 5.4 seconds.

All three variants use rear-wheel drive as the standard configuration. The AWD option is only available on the top Elroq 85x variant.

For India, the exact battery variants have not been confirmed. Industry reports suggest Skoda India is most likely to bring the 77 kWh top variant first as a fully imported model, with the possibility of adding the mid-spec 59 kWh variant later. A real-world range of approximately 400 to 450 km is expected from the 77 kWh variant on Indian roads.

The Elroq supports both AC and DC fast charging. On AC, it can charge at up to 11 kW. On DC fast charging, the Elroq supports up to 175 kW, which allows the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 28 minutes. This is one of the faster DC charging speeds available in the premium electric SUV segment in India.

The interior of the Elroq uses a winged dashboard design similar to the Enyaq. The centre of the dashboard has a 13-inch floating touchscreen for the infotainment system with AC vents positioned below it. Physical shortcut buttons on the dashboard allow quick access to ADAS settings, drive modes, and climate controls — avoiding the all-touchscreen layout that many buyers find frustrating.

It has multiple airbags as standard. The ADAS suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. A 360-degree camera system and a rear parking camera are available on higher variants.

The Elroq sits on 19-inch or 21-inch alloy wheels depending on the variant. The profile is similar to the Skoda Kodiaq but in a more compact form, with a sloping roofline that gives it a slightly coupe-like silhouette. The body panels are smooth and flat in line with the Modern Solid design language that uses straight, clean lines rather than complex curves.

Colour options globally include shades of white, black, grey, blue, and red. India-specific colour options have not been confirmed. The Elroq does not have a traditional sunroof or panoramic glass roof as standard this is a deliberate engineering decision to keep the roofline rigid and maintain structural strength.

The Skoda Elroq price in India is expected to be at around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top variant if imported as a fully built unit (CBU). Some industry estimates place the price lower between ₹30 lakh and ₹35 lakh if Skoda manages to localise components or use the Indian government’s EV import duty concession policy that allows reduced duty on EVs for manufacturers who commit to local production.

The Skoda Elroq is one of the most anticipated electric SUVs in India for 2026. It brings Skoda’s new Modern Solid design language, a practical 470-litre boot, a fast 175 kW DC charging capability, Level 2 ADAS, and up to 579 km of WLTP range in the top variant. The India launch date and official price will be confirmed by Skoda India closer to the launch event.
