Royal Enfield Bullet 650 India Launch — 648cc Parallel Twin, Classic Bullet Design, and Expected Price

Royal Enfield Bullet 650
Royal Enfield Bullet 650 is preparing to launch in India in 2026, and it is the most powerful Bullet ever made.

Bullet 650 was officially unveiled at Motoverse 2025 in Goa and also showcased at EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy. The expected India launch is around March 15, 2026, and the estimated starting price is ₹3.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Royal Enfield Bullet first appeared in 1932. It is the oldest motorcycle nameplate in continuous production anywhere in the world. Not Triumph, not Harley-Davidson, not any other brand has kept a single model name running as long as Royal Enfield has with the Bullet.

For most of its life in India, the Bullet ran on a single-cylinder engine  first in 350cc and later in 500cc form. When Royal Enfield discontinued the 500cc version in 2020, the Bullet 350 became the only Bullet available. The 350 continues to sell well today.

The Bullet 650 was first shown to the world at EICMA 2025, the international motorcycle show held every year in Milan, Italy, in November 2025. Royal Enfield CEO Siddhartha Lal was present at the reveal and described the bike as something the company always had to make.

Shortly after the Milan reveal, the bike was brought to India and displayed at Motoverse 2025, Royal Enfield’s annual rider event held in Goa. This confirmed that India would be getting the bike and that a launch was coming in early 2026.

Royal Enfield will offer the bike in two colour options Battleship Blue and Cannon Black, with golden pinstripes and a traditional Royal Enfield badge. Battleship Blue is an India-exclusive colour, while Cannon Black is available globally.

This engine produces 46.4 PS at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of torque at 5,650 rpm. That is more than double the power of the Bullet 350, which makes 20.2 PS. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch, which makes gear changes feel smoother and prevents rear wheel hop during aggressive downshifts.

The bike boasts classic styling elements including a single-piece stepped seat, a traditional chrome-hooded headlamp nacelle with tiger-eye pilot lamps, metal badges on the tank, and signature hand-painted pinstripes on its teardrop fuel tank.

The long chrome peashooter exhaust pipes are retained, which is one of the most iconic design elements of the Bullet. The round headlamp, the wide handlebar, and the chunky fuel tank all carry over from the Bullet lineage.

The Bullet 650 gets a 43mm telescopic fork and preload-adjustable twin rear shock absorbers, with 120mm and 90mm of wheel travel respectively. It has a 320mm front and a 300mm rear disc brake, with dual-channel ABS as standard.

The 19-inch front wheel is fitted with a single 320mm disc and a two-piston caliper, while the 18-inch rear wheel uses a single 300mm disc and a twin-piston caliper. The bike rides on spoked wheels with tubed tyres  a 100-section front and 140-section rear keeping the retro character alive.

The Bullet 650 comes equipped with a semi-digital instrument console that has an analogue speedometer and a digital inset. It has a gear position indicator, a fuel gauge, tripmeters, and an odometer. The Tripper navigation pod will be standard.

The all-LED lighting setup and adjustable clutch and brake levers are also included as standard.

The Bullet 350 is priced around ₹1.73 lakh to ₹2.12 lakh (ex-showroom), making the Bullet 650 nearly double the price. But it also delivers more than double the power, and it comes with a full LED lighting setup, dual-channel ABS, and modern features that the base Bullet 350 does not offer.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 price is expected to be from ₹3.40 lakh (ex-showroom). On-road prices will vary by city and state based on RTO charges, insurance, and handling fees. The on-road price is expected to be in the range of ₹3.80 lakh to ₹4.20 lakh depending on location.

It keeps everything that made the Bullet what it is the look, the feel, the classic character but gives it the kind of engine that makes it usable on highways and long rides without any struggle. At an expected Royal Enfield Bullet 650 price of ₹3.40 lakh, it is positioned as the most affordable 650cc twin from Royal Enfield.
